‍WHAT TO EXPECT

Explore the SHAKTI intersection of yoga, energy, dance, music, endurance & liberation!

Our first official month long BODY ALIVE TRAINING begins virtually on March 15th and culminates with a 6 day in-person intensive,  April 11-16, 2023  

This kind of transformational work requires a deep commitment to the inner journey of spirit, compassion, courage, and a willingness to articulate the complexities of the human experience and the beauty of the soul's journey within.

During our month long Teacher Training Program, you will study The BODY ALIVE method and explore the art of guiding students through their own transformation. Equal parts education and self-expression, you will learn sequencing, musicality, and how to bring consciousness into action to support people around the world to do the same.

Additionally, this retreat WILL include a strong physical conditioning & cardio component - please come prepared.

Jayne has designed this program to share some of the practical, energetic, structural and creative aspects of leading yourself (and/or students) through a transformational experience.

If you choose to go the BOOTCAMP ROUTE, you are not required to participate in the virtual programming, as well you can plan to have afternoons free to explore the magnificent Hacienda property or the many offerings that make Tulum so special.  Both pathways include a strong physical conditioning & cardio component - please come prepared.

THE PROCESS

1 month commitment (March 15-April 16 2023) 

• Virtual Commitment : Weekly Zoom Calls, Practice + Home Study 
• In Person Commitment : 6-day intensive (meals + accommodations included) 
• All meals will be curated to be gluten-free, dairy-free, refined-sugar free and sourced from local farms.

Training includes in-person & zoom lecture and classes, home study, practice teaching, one-on-one time with the training and development team, and a final review process.

THE INVESTMENT

 $5500 per person includes all virtual and in-person training

THE PROGRESSION

Once accepted and certified, new teachers will have the opportunity to sub on the Aspen Shakti schedule, co-lead workshops/classes on our pop-up tour and lead classes on our digital platform. 

We do not currently train teachers to teach Body Alive outside of our established locations and digital platform.

PREREQUISITES

• You must complete 10 Body Alive classes prior to auditioning.
• You must have completed a 200hr yoga teacher training, be an experienced teacher who has led group movement on the beat for at least one year prior to March 2023, or have personal permission from the Shakti team to join the training

SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS 

• TECHNIQUE | must model and embody excellent form and alignment, clear & audible vocal quality, authentic speak, intelligent cueing of all transitions 
• ENERGY | LOTS of it, endurance, passion, wisdom, inspiration, a mix of fire and softness, SHAKTI 
• PERSONALITY | presence, confidence, fun and fearless attitude, you must be ready to always play full out and command/lead the room.
• MUSIC | method-aligned, soulful, dynamic world beats, music choices that will build with the energy and movement in your class
• RHYTHM | the ability to identify, count, and teach on the beat
• DIGITAL PRESENCE | the ability to teach on camera and translate the energy/method to students anywhere in the world.
